In the hands of a skilled mentalist an index is a powerful tool, as Christopher Taylor has been proving for over a decade in every stage show and walk around gig he performs. Now that experience has been put to work for you, with a new system to take your index to a level never before seen.
As a master with an index looking to expand the power of an already incredible device, or a novice using this excellent concept to jump into index work for the first time, the Taylor Index Decoding System is built for the practical performer. Whether looking for a quick piece of hard hitting mentalism for a walk around gig, or a slow story driven build up to a powerful reveal, the TID System has something for you. And the 4 routines that it comes with will merely serve as a starting point, opening up an entirely new world of possibilities for your performing pleasure. But don’t take our word for it, watch the reactions of some of the people that we showed it off to…
• Hangman: A “Matching Colours” routine with a hair-raising difference. The performer tells an unsettling story about a little girl who becomes obsessed with playing Hangman, the spelling game. Her teacher dies. Was Charlotte to blame? Does she really have an erie control over people. A participant draws a completed Hangman game — as the little girl might have — with a different colour for each of the gallows, rope, figure and finally, “Miss Hill” the teacher’s name. The participant’s and Charlotte’s drawings match perfectly. Full script and billets provided.
• Hot Potatoes: Predict the four-digit number created by four spectators passing paper balls (each ball has a one digit number in it) amongst themselves until a 5th spectator calls stop. This is a ton of fun.
